I’m excited about Qi2 support for iPhones. Finally, fast charging! So I ordered both the 6600 mah and 10000 mah versions of the Anker Maggo battery packs.

First observation? This is huge. When compared to my older Anker magnetic charger, this feels a lot larger. It’s a big one. Wireless charging was on-par with a MagSafe adapter, so it felt like it was charging just as fast. Also charged my iPhone SE at a slower rate.

What I did like is that I can use this as a foldable stand, with and without charging. If I just need to prop up my phone and watch something, I can do that. I can also fast charge while propped up via cable to, which is nice (it *felt* like I was getting fast charge on my iPhone 14 Pro Max but not sure if it was 20w or 27w. I can’t find the specs either.)

And the cost. It’s $70 which is a “oof” to the wallet. However I paid $100 for the Apple one that had a quarter of the capacity. But it also was a lot smaller.

Anker’s first to market so they can get a premium price for their battery packs until the market catches up. It’s the best out there this far.
