The build quality feels sturdy but it’s definitely not as finished as a SL, for instance some of the threaded screw holes for the arm rests were not straight and I had to screw them down at an angle not a big deal but something to note. The seat base feels about as firm maybe firmer than my 2020 SL titan but the back rest sucks in comparison and is the biggest con of the chair. It seems to be kind of skewed like one back support arm is back a little further than the other not a massive difference but something I notice looking at it. The lumbar support is basically non existent, not sure why they even bothered putting the lumbar mechanism in there, but at its max you barely feel it and it is very clunky/hard to move, not smooth with the tactile ratcheting like a SL. The rest of the seat back feels very hard/firm like it barely has any padding but if you get a lumbar pillow it’ll probably be fine. The soft weave material is less refined and rougher than my 2020 titan but nothing crazy it still feels nice and I’d still prefer it over leather, it seems like it’ll hold up. The stitching all looks strong and centered as it should. The armrests are similar to the pre 2020 SL models with all the functions of a SL just a little less refined with all plastic pieces except the arms coming out of the base are metal, all the buttons and movements are smooth. They have some play when locked, the foam is also much firmer than my SL but not too hard. The seat base tilt works well and the tension is adjustable. All the other tilt and up and down functions are fine but when you lay all the way back it’s not as stable feeling as a SL. The memory foam pillow is magnetic and feels nice enough but a lot firmer than my SL. Wheels are similar to SL and roll smoothly. Shipping was very fast and came from NJ, I got it in like 3 days even though the expected date was in a week and a half, so that was cool. The packaging was fine, nothing damaged and all the parts were there but didn’t have the premium packaging SL has. It does have some light chemical smell out of the box like any memory foam mattress or chair but I’m guessing that’ll air out over time.
I’m guessing the SL skins will fit perfectly over this chair but at that point you’re paying 450 and might as well get the SL.

Overall good for $250 if you want a new chair with the look of a SL for half the price, but SL is definitely in a higher class. I give it 5 stars based on it’s probably the best chair like this in its price range but they should still work on the lumbar and add more padding to the back rest.
