I honestly shopped around because I needed a good tripod I had one before but it kind of was crappy and didn't work well and I wanted to upgrade. This is actually really nice the class really well the fact that it's not going to tip over is great my camera fits on it perfectly I love that I can take it with. It is a little bit longer than my backpack so just stick out the top but that's okay. I find that I like this one better than the other one because it is sturdy and I don't feel like my camera is going to fall. I also like that the feet have little swivel points so that depending upon the ground that it's on I can adjust that as well and it's really convenient to have the level on it
