Smell- Definite warehouse or manufacture smell to the chair that took a few days to dissipate with fabric spray and open windows. The smell is STRONG. New faux leather smell possibly? The only con I've had so far.
Assembly- The directions are clear in English. Pictures are pretty clear and correspond to the hardware incorporated. I set it up by myself in maybe just under an hour. The most difficult parts were the backing (just a bit heavy and akward while initially positioning for one person, but can be done) and the plastic coverings (just trying to line up the screw holes to the metal supports).
Construction- Seems solid enough. Maybe a bit overkill for my weight, but hopefully won't sheer at the weld near the piston. I loosened the tilt screw as much as it would go which I don't normally do. Might help make it last longer than an average one. The mechanics are a bit stiff for the back reclining part so takes a bit of force to get it engaged, but this is a brand new chair so that was expected. Seems like it'll hold. I've reclined about half the possible angle it could probably do, but it stayed solid at least. I've only reclined a handful of times, but it could get easier if I use it enough.
Comfort- HUGE pro here. Although it isn't like sitting on a cloud it's comfortable enough that I can game for at least a 6 hour stretch with minimal breaks as long as you sit normal. Although I can sit crisscross for a while without issue. For a 6ft tall roughly 220lbs dude that adjusts positions consistently it's great. You can bring in the arm rests, but I have them at the widest point possible because I can. The pillows are comfortable enough, but the lower back pillow has no security which is a bit of an annoyance, but I generally don't use it often right now. Arm rests move nearly in all directions you'd might want. At least as much some more specialized or high end brand chairs do for these days.
Aesthetics- Looks real nice. Looks very solid. The carbon fiber looks in key points looks pretty cool. Without the pillows it's plain. A small tag located on the backing features the brand name, but nowhere else on the chair itself.
I got a mat because my carpet is a bit thick. Although I don't think the wheels will jam I want to give this chair the best shot possible. I'm overall very impressed with it though.
