Paramount has widely released a UHD SteelBook packaging variant for the 1994 Brandon Lee film 'The Crow,' directed by Alex Proyas and starring
the late Brandon Lee. The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the concurrently released standard packaging issue. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the
review below for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Paramount's glossy SteelBook features an image of The Crow standing slightly off to the right of center, right shoulder forward, looking to his right.
He's
holding a black electric guitar at his waist. The image of wings in shadowy black appear behind him, with everything set against a dark blue and rainy
background. The words "real love is forever" appear at the top in white. The rear panel features a classic image of The Crow walking menacingly
forward, a little hunched over, with a blue rainy background behind him but a bright ray of light illuminating him from above. The spine features the
same dark blue and rainy background with the film's title in white center. White Paramount and Miramax logos appear top and bottom, respectively.
The
SteelBook also includes a plastic Slipcover that is white along the front with the film's title in black at the top center (alone with "Brandon Lee").
There
is a black crow with a transparent midsection allowing the image of Lee's The Crow appearing from the SteelBook below. The rear panel contains no
extra elements; it simply allows the SteelBook to show through (a J-Card houses the typical black matter). The spine is white with the film's title in
black center. A small image of The Crow appears at the top, with only a black Paramount logo above. UHD and Miramax logos appear at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The lone UHD disc is situated on the right on a central hub. The inner print
is
a two-panel spread that features an elaborate artwork that fills both panels that depicts an avian image with human eyes glaring forward from the
wings. It is set against a black background.

Paramount has offered a very good design for The Crow's UHD release. It's appropriately dark and brooding, just like the movie, with a plastic
slipcover that gives it a somewhat brighter appearance. The UHD presentation is excellent as well. Highly recommended.
