‘Marmaduke’ Trailer: Pete Davidson-Voiced Great Dane Goes From The Dog House To The Dog Show

Netflix has released the first trailer for its 3D CGI animated Marmaduke movie.

The titular great dane is, it turns out, “a handful.” Voiced by Pete Davison, he keeps breaking things and, when a video of his antics goes viral, the world’s greatest dog trainer sets out to tame him. As a result, according to the film’s summary, “he gets involved with the world of elite dog shows, dramatic divas, and hilarious rivalries.”

Marmaduke is directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé, Matt Philip Whelan and Youngki Lee. All three are longtime visual effects supervisors (with Lee most recently a VFX producer). Dippé’s previous directing credits include Spawn and The Boxcar Children.

The film is produced by Andrews McMeel Entertainment and Legacy Classics. It will be available to stream on May 6th and features the voices of Davidson (as Marmaduke), J.K. Simmons, Jason Anthony and David Koechner.
