It appears Love hasn't missed a beat. So, we can reasonably expect more of the same raw energy, endearing (and not-so endearing) character flaws and relatable humor that made season 1 such an unexpected treat.
We still love and loathe both characters, but for slightly different reasons.
Love continues to prove that it can spend an entire episode unpacking an argument and taking the time to properly depict the motions of working it out.
Real life is messy, and once I got past the first two episodes of Love way back in Season 1, I realized Love is one of the most honest portrayals of love in the 21st century.
Love is simultaneously all about Mickey and Gus, and much, much bigger than the two of them.
Love treads quite a unique balance between comedy and drama in that it neither tries to be hugely comedic nor hugely dramatic, but still manages to grip you.
