Ethel Sands, etc. - Lesbian categories[edit]
Hi,
I see that you are adding Lesbian categories to a number of articles, some of which are on my watchlist. I can see why you would tag them that way, and they may very well may be right but: Is there content in the articles that indicates that they wre or were likely lesbians?
For instance, due to societal norms, it may be that women had close relationships with other women, but may not have entered into what is defined as lesbian emotional or sexual behavior. Generally, categories are not added unless there is clear indication in the content that the category is applicable.
As an FYI, when writing articles about lesbians, I was careful to not to try to read between the lines and just characterize the relationship based upon reliable sources.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:57, 5 August 2017 (UTC)

David Ogden Stiers[edit]
I certainly understand wanting to place David Ogden Stiers into the gay categories.
However, if you check Talk:David_Ogden_Stiers#RFC_regarding_the_sexuality_of_David_Ogden_Stiers, this very issue has been discussed through a Request For Comment, including with the sort of sources you've cited in your edit comments. While there is certainly room for consensus to change (particularly since WP:BDP no longer applies), given the RFC result, you should reach consensus before re-adding.
