Hello, I'm BlueSharkLagoon. I look forward to contributing to the encyclopedia.

I'm going to start off light as I familiarise myself with the MoS and policy. I'm in no doubt that I will make a lot of mistakes as I learn the ropes. If mess up, I welcome all messages on my talk page which point to the policy I should've followed. I'm always willing to resolve disputes on talk pages to avoid escalation, and I welcome when this is extended back to me.

I'm going to ease myself in by joining some maintenance projects such as WikiProject Orphanage, and Dead-end pages.

I'm also reachable by email. Although I'm a shark, I don't bite!

My IP address[edit]

All my contributions are from shared IP addresses, as the only way I can contribute to Wikipedia is to use my phone’s cellular data as a hotspot on a web browser that is different to my default one. I’m unable to edit using my normal home internet connection, as I have a physical VPN router (which I'll suffer a crushing defeat in my home's election to turn it off). My phone and main-laptop both have an anonymising relay automatically switched-on and built-in to the default web browser, so I'm using a different web browser. If I make an edit from a non-shared IP address, it is likely that I'm editing using a friend's or family member's Wi-Fi, so the other edits on that IP have no relation to me.

Other accounts[edit]

When I joined Wikipedia, I was unsure about my username. I wasn’t aware that the accounts couldn’t easily be renamed, so I created a few accounts before settling for this one. Upon reading the policy on multiple accounts, specifically socks and sleepers, I requested that the other accounts to be courtesy vanished. They have no recovery email and I have deleted the passwords that were generated from my password manager. This is the only account I have access to and I have never published an IP edit.

WikiProject Orphanage[edit]

I'm going to make myself useful in maintenance as I familiarise myself with MoS and policy before I start editing article content. As noted in the edit summaries, some articles are poorly structured and my edits simply match the already-existing structure, so is not reflective of how I intend to edit articles.

Working on this project means discovering a lot of articles that may not meet WP:GNG, or are a WP:HOAX. I can't find any specific policy about the amount of deletions an editor can run simultaneously. But I don't think it's in the spirit of WP:EDIT to run a large amount at once, so I'll space them out. I haven't included possible troll-like WP:HOAXes as per WP:DFTT, but their deletions are prioritised to the front of the queue.

Editors who think the article will be kept may let me know on my talk page, to save community time. Also, it may be a violation of WP:CANVASS to notify me if a deletion is ran by another editor because I've stated my how I'd vote in the table.

Deletion queue (not including hoaxes)
Article Reason Researching this topic returns Deletion type
Mandarine Napoléon Seems promotional. Dubiously claims it was Napoleon's favourite drink, but the source says the actual recipe was lost, so it is merely a mimic of what they think the recipe was. Shopping Discussion
Ukobu No sources to back up it's existence. Coordinates don't point to a village. Citogenesis Discussion
Hungry Days Promotional Nothing related to the topic is found (term is too general). Discussion
Beiwei Tan Sources support its existence, but not why it's notable enough to have an article. Nothing related to the topic is found. Discussion
The Post-Pandemic World Order Promotional Nothing related to the topic is found. Proposed
Trichambaram uthsavam Promotional. No non-primary sources found. Topic is already covered on Trichambaram Temple. User-generated content. Proposed
James H. Evans Autobiography. Promotional. Written as a CV or an about page for a website. Self-published sources. Minor hyper-local news coverage. Discussion
