We held the first Daniel Koops Award for Outstanding Film Score, May 11 at the James Bridges Theater on the UCLA campus. The event celebrated the art of film score composition, in memory of a young festival film score composer we lost in 2022.
It was a lovely event that will happen again next year!

The festival is fundraising to bring Marusya Shuvalova, a young Ukrainian filmmaker, and her family to the festival in Los Angeles to screen her two fantastic short documentary films about life as a child during wartime. Marusya will also make school appearances and have filmmaker learning experiences with industry professionals.
Please help us support this brave and talented young filmmaker!
