Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsFully supports 240v but not certified

I bought this to use for international travel. I was surprised to see that though its USB model is "rated for 120v-240v 50/60 Hz", the device overall is only certified for "125v / 60 Hz."
I wrote to Anker and asked what this means. They told me it works fully on 240v and I can plug 240v devices into it, but it's not certified for this use.
Anker did not explain why they didn't certify it for its intended purpose. One thought is, they wanted to rush quickly to market and didn't have time to get through the certification process. The other thought is, they wanted to save the money certification costs.
Neither is a good reason. Of course, these aren't Anker's stated reasons. I hope they WILL explain why this is not certified for the use we will all put it to – international travel, using 120v and 240v electricity, for both USB charging and as AC outlets. I believe in the value of certification – it tells me that at a minimum the device is tested and should be safe to use as expected.
For this reason, I'm posting this as my first-ever three-star review of an Anker product. I think skipping certification reduces the value of this item and that other customers should know this. I'm not returning it, but I think my review might prevent some from ordering this items and feeling misled.
NOTE: I'm cross-posting this to the two products I bought from Anker that share this issue. Those are items A9128 (Anker Prime 6-in-1 USB C Charging Station, 140W Compact Power Strip for Work and Travel, 5 ft Detachable Extension Cord with 6 Ports, for iPhone 15/15 Plus/15 Pro/15 Pro Max(Non-Battery, Non-Wireless)) and A91F2 (Anker Prime 6-in-1 USB C Charging Station, 140W Compact Power Strip for Work and Travel, 5 ft Detachable Extension Cord with 6 Ports, for iPhone 15/15 Plus/15 Pro/15 Pro Max(Non-Battery, Non-Wireless)).
