Delivered on time, it looks and perform as expected. It offers good protection without adding too much bulk. The color is a nice and elegant matte black, with part of the sides and bottom back sculpted inward with a carbon fiber-like pattern lightly glossy.
The lip all around the screen is raised about 1mm or so, just enough to act as a "bumper" when putting the phone on a flat surface screen down.
All of the cut-outs for charging port, speakers, camera lenses, LED lights, etc. match perfectly. The power and volume button covers are well aligned too and do not protrude too much.
I like the large rectangular cut-out for the three camera lenses. That way the thickness of the case makes them a little recessed. It may offer some protection against scratching and dirt when putting the phone down on its backon. Also, with this approach the phone stays flat without tipping one side. Other cases have a wrap around each of the lenses, which makes the back of the case taller on one side.
Something to keep in mind is that part of the original phone case is visible through the lenses cut out. In my case it is not a big deal, as my S22 color is Phantom Black and it matches nicely.
I have had the JTech case (and the phone) only for a week, but so far it is looking and performing great. No drops yet on hard surfaces, though 😄. But I am usually very careful with my phones, never had a cracked or scratched screen.
For my old S9 I had a slim Spigen clear transparent case, which after over three years still works great, but it yellowed horribly (as I am afraid all of the clear cases eventually do, despite the claims).
I was about to buy a black Spigen case as well, then reading the reviews (generally with high ratings), I noticed several users reporting the case "flacking" small black speckles, as if the coating of the case was coming off.
Another thing with that particular case is the raised camera lenses protection, which makes the phone not staying flat on its back.
The JTech cost a bit less, it has a flat back, it fits well and appears to be made of solid material, no coating that may come off over time.
If it holds up in the long run it is a winner!
