Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsAfter 5 months, keeps sinking.

It's a decent office chair, in general, but it does have some flaws.
One, it's pretty noisy. Wasn't at first, but pretty quickly started developing loud, obnoxious squeaks. I'm used to hitting my previous office chairs with a couple well-placed shots of WD40 once or twice a year, but this chair seems like it hardly has any factory grease.
Two, given it's wholly round set of options, the arms are way too close together for my tasted, and not able to be adjusted laterally. While being overall pretty comfortable for the price, the narrow arms are contributing to wrist, elbow, and shoulder aches, as my arms can't rest in a naturally spread manner, so my mousing ends up being kind of at a 45-degree angle, as opposed to straight ahead of my arm rest. I'd almost prefer the cheap, $90 office chair this replaced, just to have what I consider standard resting arm width again.
Now for the latest development that's really frustrating me. The chair's pneumatic cylinder seems to be crapping out already, after just 5 months. The chair constantly sinks, when I need it fully extended for my comfort. Sometimes it sinks slowly, sometimes it sinks all the way within 15 seconds. Just depends. Almost seems to sink faster when not leaning back on it.
Between these two substantial troubles, I would not buy it again. If I've learned anything in pursuit of the right office chair, most times, you get what you pay for. And if you want a good office chair that you can work from home in, then spend evenings in as well, doing leisure computer activities, you're better off just coming to the conclusion quickly you need to spend more than a couple hundred bucks.
