I received my Eufy today and couldn’t wait to unbox it since I’ve had their basic robot version and loved it, but was looking for mapping and mopping so I ordered the 9X Pro. I followed the directions and after installing the app and firmware updates, I got an S1 battery error. After turning it off and then on, the error cleared. I filled out the water tank and did the mapping and that was great. I did the first vacuum only cycle on an hallway, and wasn’t impressed. Then did a vacuum and mop cycle, and I received another error that there was not sufficient water in the water tank (I had just filled it to the max level as indicated). I pulled the clean water tank out to double check and when I inserted it back to the base, no error but the mops were dry, and off it went vacuuming and mopping (with dry pads). I checked again the setting for the mopping cycle to indicate the amount of water for the mops and sent it to vacuum and mop again. Same water error and after removing and placing the water tank, off it went mopping with dry mops for the second time.
I wanted to like it so bad that I sent it on its next mission to clean my kitchen using vacuum mode. It missed anything that is about 3 inches away from the toe kick and fails at cleaning corners.
Having owned a very basic Eufy robot (eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S MAX) I was hoping the much more expensive and “smart” version would be at minimum as good as the one I’ve had. But not only has it thrown errors out of the box, but even the basic task of vacuuming is performed poorly. As for mopping, I can’t even judge because this smart robot can’t sense that the tank has water! Video shows how it misses things on corner and cabinet toe kick.
