I bought this without there being any reviews so I didn’t know what to expect, but I’ve used other products from Anker and they’re always high quality, so I risked it. It installed in less than a minute in my 2014 Passat. It is extremely sturdy and doesn’t wiggle at all. The magnet holds my phone without any problem and charging is very fast if you have a fast charging port. I ran the USB cable to the back of the head unit in my car since there’s a port back there, so I have no cords anymore! Worth every penny.

The cable is 2 to 3 foot too long but for some reason it is hard wired so that can't be changed. The magnet is not near as strong as their previous version of their car charger. I am an Anker fanboy and I am really disappointed with this one.

Sturdy mount, works with an Apple MagSafe case

I like the tightening mechanism on the vent mount… seems less like to accidentally be bumped off. The pivot ball joint holds the angle /phone position well. MagSafe attaches well and charges even with the Apple MagSafe leather and silicone cases.

Cable does not detach

If the cable fails throw this item in the trash. Cannot understand vendors like Anker and Belkin who charge $50 and more for a simple car mount and fail to provide a detachable cable that you can replace. Either when it fails or because you might want a specific cable length or a specific cable color or you just want to use a different cable.

This charger has Qi2 compatibility and charges my iPhone 15 Pro Max very quickly. My phone doesn’t get as hot with it compared to a standard Qi charger. The mount attaches securely to the vent and the magnets are also quite strong. I don’t have any concerns with my phone falling off when going over bumps.

Would be 5 stars if the cable were detachable. I’m not afraid of the cable failing but it would be nice to be able to use a shorter cable for a cleaner look.
