The 777 dock and this stand were returned to Anker for troubleshooting the 777 after I could get any output from the HDMI ports on the dock. See my separate review of the 777 dock.

The stand itself is weighted well and fits the 777 dock like a glove.

I like Anker products but cannot recommend the 777 dock if you want to use HDMI output.

The dock has a surprising weight/heaviness to it that gives me the sense it won't budge. The rubber pad on the bottom really holds onto my desk without leaving any marks or residues. With the dock in place and the many wires coming out that pull the dock in all sorts of the directions, the stand holds in its place.

I purchase the Anker Apex 12, set it up, and quickly realized that this stand, which is sold separately for some crazy reason, was sorely needed. So I bought it. The stand is great. My Apex 12 does not fall over or teeter or wobble. So it does what it is supposed to do. It should have been provided with the APEX 12.

As with everything made by Anker, the stand is high quality, it fits the T4 777 perfectly, and it gives the dock extra stability while looking sharp. If Anker continues to sell it separately then they should package it with inserts so it could be used with a variety of Anker docks. Otherwise, if it’s only compatible with one dock then it should be included in that dock’s box. But what do I know - I’m the idiot who paid extra for a stand that only works with one dock! 🤪
