I paid a little over $1k, and it was totally worth every dollar! As a bonus to my order, I received a Ryzen 9, instead of the shown Ryzen 7. I'm not complaining! I mainly wanted it for the RTX 4050, and 144hz screen.
This is leagues better than my old Ryzen 5, GTX 1650. That guy has served me well, and now I have a new baby.
Anyway... It performs flawlessly, and makes my games run so much more smoothly. Take Skyrim for example. My old laptop would sometimes drop to low 30fps, with less than 200 mods. I currently have 400 mods, and the lowest I've hit (without ENB) is 60fps. It typically stays in the low to mid 100's.
In short, this laptop is exactly what you want if you're a gamer!
