The "Ted Lasso" star taught Cox how to say her name after the actress and "Live From E! Countdown to the Emmys" host misstated it.

Actress Laverne Cox introduced the Ted Lasso star as "Hannah Waddington" while hosting Live From E! Countdown to the Emmys. Waddingham didn’t let the mistake slide, immediately correcting the host before proceeding with the interview.

"Waddingham. Let’s get that right, straight away," the actress said after the flub.

"Tell me, say it again," Cox, a former Emmy nominee for Orange Is the New Black, responded, before imitating the actor’s English accent. "I love you so much," Cox said.

Waddingham is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for playing team owner Rebecca Welton in the third season of Ted Lasso. She previously won in the same category for the show’s first season in 2021, and was nominated for the second in 2022 but ultimately lost to Abbott Elementary’s Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Ted Lasso was nominated for a total of 17 Emmys this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Jason Sudeikis, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Phil Dunster and Brett Goldstein, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Juno Temple and Waddingham. The show already won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Sam Richardson and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for "A Beautiful Game" by Ed Sheeran, Foy Vance, and Max Martin at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month.
