The Oscar winner looked back at the viral exchange she had with Jennifer Lopez at the Golden Globes last month during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, sharing that it felt "very profound" for her because Lopez is the reason she works in Hollywood. "My mom took me to the theater to see Selena and it traumatized me, but also it was like, 'That's what I want to do with my life,'" she explained. "She just kind of doesn't exist for me as a human being," Larson said of Lopez, whom she burst into tears meeting. "She's, like, my God." "Someone was like, 'Didn't you think this day would come?' And I was like, 'No, she doesn't exist for me.' That's not how this works," Larson said of the Golden Globes moment. "In my world, J.Lo is over there, and I'm on the other side of the TV, always." While some folks have proposed a film with Lopez, Larson quipped, "I'm like, sorry, did you see my reaction? It's not looking like a professional relationship is on the table for me." An emotional Lopez said she was similarly moved by the interaction during an appearance on Zane Lowe's Apple Music 1 last month. "I don’t think I ever imagined that I would have an experience like that with somebody who is so talented and who I watch their movies and who, is kind of in a way, my contemporary even," the singer said.
