“Sweet Christmas,” as Luke Cage would say.
Guillermo del Toro‘s animated Dreamwork’s Trollhunters series will launch on December 23 it was announced today at New York Comic-Con. At the Theater at Madison Square Garden panel for the series, a new trailer for the Anton Yelchin, Kelsey Grammer, Ron Perlman, Steven Yeun and Charlie Saxton voiced show was shown too- as you can see above.
New key art, featured here, was also revealed as the full first episode was screening for the crowd.
With obvious exception of the now deceased Yelchon, all the main talent and the Pacific Rim director were all in attendance, as were fellow EPs Marc Guggenheim and Rodrigo Blaas. The month of Trollhunters‘ debut was already made public by del Toro back in June at the Annecy Animation Festival in France but the specific date was not known until today’s NYCC event.
The del Toro created series revolves around two worlds of fantasy that are on a collision course. The discovery by suburban teen Jim Lake Jr., voiced by Yelchin, of a powerful amulet opens up the battle of the trolls that is happening right under his feet in fictional Arcadia.
New York Comic-Con runs until October 9.
