Oh, to simply comment on your favorite band’s TikTok and get invited to their show! Juan Karlos Labajo is living the ultimate fan/musician’s dream as he got invited by band Lukas Graham to perform at their upcoming Manila concert on the social media platform. And it’s not just any performance—but a collaboration with the band.

On the night of October 17, Juan Karlos commented on Lukas Graham’s TikTok video where the band was performing Love Someone, writing that he can’t wait to watch the show. The band replied “Hey JK! Why not come and perform this song with me instead?”, to which the ERE singer expressed his reaction in such a relatable way: “OMG OMG NO WAAAAY 😭😭” and “IM DOWN!!!” If that wasn’t enough indication of his excitement, he also posted the screenshot of the interaction on his Instagram story, captioning it “omg huhuhu nagreply si lukas graham g*guuu 😭😭😭.”

KINGS ON KINGS: JUAN KARLOS AND LUKAS GRAHAM

Luke Graham is a Danish band composed of Lukas Forchhammer, Mark Falgren, and Magnus Larsson. The band is known for hits 7 Years, Love Someone, and Mama Said. The three-time Grammy-nominated band is set to perform at the New Frontier Theater on Sunday, October 22. They were here last in 2019, performing at Eastwood Mall and at Araneta Coliseum for the 4th Wish 107.5 Music Awards.

Musician Juan Karlos on the other hand has had a busy, amazing week as his new single ERE breaks records and goes viral on social media platforms. The 22-year-old artist is also a multi-hyphenate. He’s been making music and performing since he was 13, and acting just a little later. He’s currently starring in teen thriller-drama Senior High with Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, and Xyriel Manabat. He’s also a fan of Lukas Graham, if you couldn’t tell.

While we wait in anticipation for this collaboration stage between Juan Karlos and Lukas Graham, we’re also wondering who else we’d want to see collaborate! Surely there are plenty of Filipino celebrities who are fans of international artists, and while most of us probably won’t get a “come up on stage with us” invite, we can live vicariously through them.
