Daytime Emmy winners 2019: Full list of Creative Arts winners on Friday night

It’s Daytime Emmys weekend, celebrating the best in daytime and streaming programming and spanning achievements in dramas, game shows, talk shows, animated programs, and more. The awards were presented in two parts. The lion’s share of hardware was handed out at the Creative Arts Awards on Friday night, May 3, with the rest of the categories to follow on Sunday night, May 5, during a live streaming webcast. Hosted by David Osmond (“Wonderama”), the Creative Arts ceremony honored performers, writers, directors and various below-the-line craftspeople, among other daytime TV professionals. The presenters who handed out trophies were Laila Ali (“Home Made Simple”), Lamon Archey (“Days of Our Lives”), Bob Bergen (“Wabbit”), Sasha Calle (“The Young and the Restless”), Anne Marie Cummings (“Conversations in L.A.”), Tiffany Derry (“Top Chef Junior”), Najee De-Tiege (“The Bay”), Akbar Gbaja-Biamila (“American Ninja Warrior Junior”), Courtney Hope (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), Adrienne Houghton and Israel Houghton (“The Real”), Matt Iseman (“American Ninja Warrior Junior”), Vanessa Baden Kelly (“Giants”), Hunter King (“The Young and the Restless”), Vanessa Lachey (“Top Chef Junior”), Wil Lash (“Anacostia”), Liana Liberato (“Light as a Feather”), Shanti Lowry (“Bronx SIU”), Katelyn MacMullen (“General Hospital”), Brandon McMillan (“Lucky Dog”), Michael Mealor (“The Young and the Restless”), Annika Noelle (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), Soledad O’Brien (“Mysteries and Scandals”), Lou Diamond Phillips (“Conversations in L.A.”), Danny Seo (“Naturally, Danny Seo”), Kevin Spirtas (“After Forever”), Peter Stein (producer/director), Sal Stowers (“Days of Our Lives”), Josh Swickard (“General Hospital”) and Liz Vassey (“Riley Parra”).

“Days of Our Lives” was the most nominated show overall with 27 total bids. Most of those categories will be decided on Sunday night where the NBC soap has 15 acting noms, plus bids for writing, directing and Best Drama Series. “General Hospital” followed with 25 nominations, then “The Young and the Restless” with 20 and “The Bold and the Beautiful” with 12. “Giants” was the top digital drama (11 nominations). “Sesame Street” ruled children’s programs (9 nominations). And “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Talk” were the most cited talk shows (8 nominations each). So who took home the most prizes?
