A release window for The Dragon Prince season 5 has recently been revealed. The popular Netflix animated fantasy show centers on tensions between the enchanted world of Xadia and the kingdoms of the human world following the murder of the Dragon King and the destruction of the Dragon Prince egg. After Prince Callum discovers that the egg was not destroyed but stolen by High Mage Viren, he partners with his step-brother Ezran and the Moonshadow Elf Rayla to return the Dragon Prince to Xadia in order to avert a war.

What To Expect From The Dragon Prince Season 5
The Dragon Prince season 4 picked up two years after the heroes successfully returned the Dragon Prince to Xadia and defeated Viren and his army. Ezran has settled into his new role as King of Katolis, while Callum serves as his High Mage. However, the newfound peace is relatively short-lived with tensions rising between humans and elves as they attempt to rebuild. Rayla also returns to Katolis following a two-year search for confirmation of Viren's death. When the heroes learn that Viren has been resurrected by his daughter Claudia, they set out to stop him and learn that he was a puppet of the villainous mastermind elf Aaravos all along.
The Dragon Prince season 5 will pick up where season 4 left off with Ezran, Callum, Soren, and Rayla pursuing Claudia and Viren in an attempt to stop them freeing Aaravos from his prison. As shown in the new image, the group will enlist the aid of Nyx, a deceitful elf who was last seen in season 3. With the upcoming season subtitled Ocean, the group will likely spend a large portion of their journey exploring the seas and the mysteries held within.
Meanwhile, General Amaya and Sunfire Elf Queen Janai plan to wed as the queen attempts to usher her people into a new era of prosperity. However, with Janai's younger brother Karim yearning for the throne and her displaced people struggling to work with humans, she finds herself on the precipice of great change. With The Dragon Prince season 5 set to hit Netflix this summer, audiences can expect trailers and new plot details in the coming months.
