Kristin Robinson is the music publishing reporter at <em>Billboard</em>, writing about all things related to songwriting, licensing, publishing, PROs and more. Prior to her role at <em>Billboard</em>, she worked at the independent label 10K Projects and covered the music business and music technology for <em>Variety</em>, Water + Music, Consequence and more. She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, but moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to attend the University of Southern California’s Music Industry program (Class of 2020) and hasn’t looked back since. A proud owner of a mint-condition Rhodes piano, she’s a lifelong musician with a passion for <em>Bookends</em> (Side A, of course) by Simon & Garfunkel and <em>22, A Million</em> by Bon Iver.
