CBS has created a new survival series called Beyond The Edge and many fans have already dubbed it a Survivor spin-off with celebrities. The show follows nine celebrities who will compete in challenges while brushing up on their survival skills in a remote jungle. Here is everything to know about the show and how it is different from Survivor.

The CBS network is known for its variety of competition shows, from Survivor to Big Brother and The Amazing Race. Beyond The Edge will have the celebrities compete in teams to raise money for their charities of choice. They will participate in various challenges as they also learn to endure the elements in the wild. At the end of 14 days, the two contestants who raise the most money will enter the last competition. One of them will eventually be crowned the winner.

Beyond The Edge's cast includes TV stars, actors, singers, and athletes. The Bachelor fans will recognize season 23's Colton Underwood, and another reality TV personality (Eboni Williams from The Real Housewives of New York City) is also in the cast. Jodie Sweetin, best known as Stephanie on Full House, will be bracing the elements alongside supermodel. Paulina Porizkova. There will be two country singers on Beyond The Edge as well, who are American Idol alum Lauren Alaina and Craig Morgan. The show will also feature NFL legends Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary, as well as NBA player Metta "World Peace" Sandiford-Artest.

Beyond The Edge Cast

The nine celebrities will have to learn how to survive in a remote jungle in Panama. Many fans mistakenly consider Beyond The Edge a celebrity version of Survivor, but the shows are entirely different. The biggest difference between the shows is the fact that Beyond The Edge will not have eliminations. The celebrities will still have challenges during each episode, Survivor-style, but they will be playing for money, and whoever raises the most will be the winner. Instead of tribes, the celebrities will compete in teams.

Some of the challenges are similar to Survivor, as the Beyond The Edge cast will try to solve puzzles. They'll also paddle out in crystal-clear water. While Survivor is more focused on strategy and forming alliances, Beyond The Edge is meant to test the physical limits of the nine cast members and the volatile elements. The mission of the series is to show how people can do good when they rely on each other and work together. It is also similar to Naked and Afraid of Love, which has the same producers as this show. Fans will have to wait until March 16 to watch the premiere of Beyond The Edge and see who has what it takes to make it all the way.
