It's Sonic the Hedgehog's 30th anniversary this year and it seems Sega could be planning to freshen up the series a little.

Just last week, we heard how the longtime voice of Sonic, Roger Craig Smith, would be moving on from the role after more than a decade. Now, in the latest update, the voice of Tails, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, has confirmed she, unfortunately, won't be voicing Miles Prower in the upcoming Netflix series, Sonic Prime.

Fans, as you might have already worked out, have voiced their concerns on social media that she might also be moving on.

O’Shaughnessey started out as the voice of Tails in 2014, working on the Sonic Boom animated series. She also appeared as Tails' (spoiler alert) in the Sonic the Hedgehog film, but it's not been confirmed if she will reprise her role in the 2022 follow-up.

This latest Sonic update follows on from the news about two veteran Sonic writers, who appear to no longer be working with Sega.
