    GOOD MORNING FOOTY FANS!

N’Golo Kante is happy to stay at Chelsea despite being linked with a move away in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-olds future was in doubt over the summer, being linked with a move away to make space for West Ham's Declan Rice.

According to Le 10 Sport, the two-time Premier League winner has no intention of leaving the Blues.

Gareth Bale's second Tottenham debut ended in disaster as Spurs threw away a three-goal lead to draw with West Ham.

Tottenham were 3-0 up within 16 minutes of Sunday's match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min and a double from Harry Kane.

But after Bale's 72nd minute introduction, Spurs contrived to concede three goals after the 82nd minute to gift West Ham a point when they looked to be heading for an easy win.

Juventus are looking to sign Arsenal target Houssem Aouar from Lyon in the January transfer window.

According to Tuttosport, the Italian giants are in the lead in the race to sign the Frenchman.

However, the Gunners have been named as one of the sides 'to watch out for'.

Manchester United have been given hope of signing Jadon Sancho next year.

United were found wanting in their pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund winger this summer, after failing to pay the German outfit's £108million asking price.

But Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has hinted United may have a chance of landing their man if they renew their interest at the end of the season.

Watzke said: “In this industry, you can never say that a player is completely unsellable.

“I heard and read everywhere in the spring that Sancho was gone.

“But he's here. We had an agreement with him.”

  • CARRA WANTS SIGNINGS

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool need to make a defensive signing after news broke of the extent of Virgil van Dijk's injury.

The Dutch defender was injured in the Merseyside derby at the weekend when Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford clattered into his knee.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said: “I think for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp and the club now, right away 'It's who can they get in'?

“I know the transfer window has just finished but they have to be ready on January 1 to bring someone in because they are really weak in that area and that could stop them going on to try to achieve what they want to achieve.”

  • JUVE EYE AOUAR

Juventus are lining up a move for Arsenal target Houssem Aouar, according to reports.

According to Tuttosport, the Italian giants are in the lead in the race to sign the Frenchman.

However, the Gunners have been named as one of the sides 'to watch out for'.

Aouar was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer window, but a fee could not be agreed to bring the player to London.

  • DISASTER

Gareth Bale's second Tottenham debut ended in disaster as Spurs threw away a three-goal lead to draw with West Ham.

Tottenham were 3-0 up within 16 minutes of Sunday's match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min and a double from Harry Kane.

But after Bale's 72nd minute introduction, Spurs contrived to concede three goals after the 82nd minute to gift West Ham a point when they looked to be heading for an easy win.

With the scoreling delicately balanced at 3-2, Bale had a golden opportunity to kill the game off in injury time.

Tottenham's new No9 did everything right as he was played in by Kane down the right, dancing around Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko to set up a shot on his left foot, but he shot wide from ten yards out.

Then, in the fourth minute of stoppage time, another Cresswell free-kick was headed away by Kane but a wayward touch from Harry Winks fell into the path of Manuel Lanzini, who arrowed a goal-of-the-season contenderinto the top corner from 30 yards to send West Ham into delirium.

Spurs were second in the Premier League table when Bale came on but had slipped to seventh by the final whistle.

  • MAGIC MANU

Manuel Lanzini was one of the players West Ham were reportedly looking to get off the books in the summer transfer window.

Fans believe that the 25-year-old did not come back the same player after his horrific injury back in 2018.

Lanzini ruptured his cruciate ligament causing him to miss 31 games for the Hammers.

Well, magic Manu produced the goods tonight when he scored one of the goal of the season contenders against fierce rivals Tottenham to rescue a point.

  • KANT GO

N'Golo Kante has no interested in leaving Chelsea, according to reports.

The 29-year-olds future was in doubt over the summer, being linked with a move away to make space for West Ham's Declan Rice.

According to Le 10 Sport, the two-time Premier League winner has no intention of leaving the Blues.

Kante has started all five of Chelsea's Premier League games so far this season, and is said to still be enjoying his time at the West London club.

  • VALLEJO SIGNS

Huddersfield have signed 28-year-old Spanish midfielder Alex Vallejo.

Vallejo has signed a one year deal keeping him at the club until June 2021, with an option of extending the contract a further 12 months.

Carlos Corberan told the club's official website: “Alex Vallejo is a midfielder who can help the team in playing out to build attacks.

“He will receive the ball from our defenders and make the transition into the higher part of the team.

“He has experience in the second division in Spain and now this is an opportunity for him to show the strengths he has with the ball, and to grow and adapt to the defensive demands of the Championship, to become an important player in our squad.”

  • SANC-HOPE

Manchester United have been given hope of signing Jadon Sancho next year.

United were found wanting in their pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund winger this summer, after failing to pay the German outfit's £108million asking price.

But Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has hinted United may have a chance of landing their man if they renew their interest at the end of the season.

Watzke said: “In this industry, you can never say that a player is completely unsellable.

“I heard and read everywhere in the spring that Sancho was gone.

“But he's here. We had an agreement with him.”

  • STRAIGHT TO WORK

Straight to work for Edinson Cavani, the Uruguayan needs to get fit before he can make his Man Utd debut.

  • LEADING AT THE BACK

Fikayo Tomori has praised Chelsea new boy Thiago Silva for displaying strong leadership.

Silva, 36, joined the Blues in the summer window for free after his contract at French champions Paris Saint-Germain expired.

Tomori believes he can learn a lot from the experienced centre-back.

Speaking to Chelsea's Mike'D Up podcast, Tomori said: “Even though he doesn’t speak a lot of English, you can tell the way he drives himself and those around him on the training pitch and on matchdays.

“You can see why he’s featured at the levels he has.

“I can watch what he does and see how professional he is. You always see him in the gym looking after his body and making sure he’s right for the games.

“What he done in the past will transfer to what he does here, and it will help all of us.”

  • EMI NO GO

Arsenal legend Tony Adams believes boss Mikel Arteta made a mistake in selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa this summer.

Martinez joined Dean Smith's Villa for £20million just months after playing a key role in Arsenal's FA Cup success.

With Leno returning to fitness, Martinez took it upon himself to seek first team regular football.

Speaking after Arsenal's slim 1-0 defeat away to Manchester City, Adams said: “I think the recruitment has been very poor in the last few years to be honest with you.

“He’s doing a miracle job (Arteta) with them by putting an FA Cup on the sideboard last season.

“I was hoping and praying at the start of the season. One with the goalkeeper situation which I disagreed with him.

“I thought we should have kept Martinez and two with the back four.

“I think after his time last season playing 3-4-3 he would have gone back to 4-3-3 go back into a back four and train the back four, work with them.”

  • VAN DE START

Manchester United fans have been raving about new boy Donny van de Beek after his brilliant substitute cameo in yesterday's thumping 4-1 win.

Van de Beek came off the bench in the 76th minute and played a key role in the build-up to Fernandes' goal to give United a late lead.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said the midfielder will get more game time and has urged fans to be patient.

Solskjaer said: “He’ll get his game-time. He’s been fantastic in the group, I think you see today and in training, he’s so neat and tidy, I don’t think he lost the ball once.

“It’s about finding the balance in the team. We’ve won 4-1 today and you’re asking why I didn’t start one of the players. He’ll have a very good impact on the team.”

    NO BALE OUT

Gareth Bale has been accused of rejecting a wage cut during the height of coronavirus pandemic – while his Real Madrid team-mates did agree to have their salaries slashed.

The winger was reportedly making £500,000-a-week while over in Spain, despite often being left out of the squad during his turbulent final few years at the club.

Reports this morning say he was the only player out of the entire Madrid squad who refused any sort of pay cut as the Spanish side were plunged into financial chaos due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

It is believed the whole team were in agreement over a wage reduction – apart from Bale.

The Welshman's representatives reportedly advised his to stop the club slashing any part of his enormous salary packet.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, despite Sergio Ramos and Zinedine Zidane's best efforts to liaise with the players about helping the club, Bale was having none of it.

The other players – and some staff – who did forfeit 10 per cent of the wages helped the club save 50million euros (£45m).

    DY HARD

Paulo Dybala allegedly clashed with Juventus' chief Fabio Paratici after again missing out on a place in the starting XI.

Tuttosport claim the Argentine striker clashed with the chief football officer in the tunnel after The Old Lady drew with newly promoted Crotone.

It's said Dybala didn't take well to being left on the bench for the entire game and let Paratici know his views in no uncertain terms.

Dybala is yet to play a minute in Serie A this season under manager Andrea Pirlo.

Instead, the rookie manager has favoured playing youngsters Manolo Portanova and Dejan Kulusevski.

    BLUE IT

It is all about the kids at Chelsea these days.

Tammy Abraham is leading the line, Mason Mount is the creative force and boss Frank Lampard is purring over recent England call-up Reece James.

But this is a club who have been known for nabbing and nurturing some of English football's finest, only for them to fail to make the grade.

SunSport takes a look back at seven of the most memorable boy wonders who shone bright early on before burning out.

    DAN THE MAN

Former Arsenal and Man Utd striker Danny Welbeck has joined Brighton on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old has joined the Seagulls on an one-year deal after he mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Watford.

Commenting on his arrival, Brighton boss Graham Potter said: “We are delighted to have Danny joining us. He will complement our existing striking options.

“He's got an undoubted pedigree, and he is quick and technically very good.

“He will add to our attacking threat and we are thrilled to add another player of his experience and quality.”

    WE'LL MISS YOU

Barca expect Lionel Messi to join Manchester City at the end of this season, according to reports.

And the stunning switch will be a FREE transfer with the Argentine's Nou Camp contract set to expire next summer.

Messi, 33, was close to re-uniting with Pep Guardiola during the most recent transfer window.

However, the deal was scuppered when Barcelona made it clear they would fight him all the way over his exit.

Messi believed he had a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for free, but Barca refuted that and made it clear they would only allow him to go if his £630million release clause was triggered.

Not wanting to take his beloved club to court, and after speaking with new boss Ronald Koeman, Messi decided he would remain at the club this season.

But the Mirror report that the Catalan giants accept he will be on his way to the Etihad in around eight months time.

    LAMPS DEFENDS KEPA

Frank Lampard defended under-fire Kepa Arrizabalaga after admitting Kurt Zouma’s pass back to the under-fire keeper was ‘short’.

Chelsea were leading 2-1 at Stamford Bridge when a defensive error allowed Southampton in to equalise, just days after the Blues nearly sold their faulty stopper.

Lampard said: “I haven’t seen it back again, I just saw it in real time.

“The back pass is short and then Kepa attempts to stop it.

“And then obviously it’s all around the goalpost.

“I didn’t see enough of it, but for sure it was a disappointing goal from our aspect.”

    HARRY REDKNAPP ON BALE

There has been loads of talk about a bailout this week — but it’s the thought of seeing a Bale in which really excites me.

The first appearance in the second coming of a man I rated as the third-best player in the world when we last saw him in a Tottenham shirt.

And that’s not bad given he was trailing only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo!

All being well, Gareth Bale will today play his first game in a season-long loan back in N17.

And we should all be rubbing our hands at the prospect… I know I certainly am.

What a forward line Jose Mourinho has got now — Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Bale.

In my book that stands comparison alongside Liverpool’s…  and any around in fact.

    CASH TO BURN

Burnley want French centre-half Mohamed Simakan and are pushing boss Sean Dyche to make a £15million bid.

The Clarets scouts have backed an offer for the 20-year-old Strasbourg star, who has emerged as their favourite defensive target for the next window.

AC Milan tried to buy Simakan in the final days of the summer transfer window, while West Ham considered him as a £9m investment signing.

Dyche had various disagreements with his staff and owner Mike Garlick that disrupted plans.

Disputes within Turf Moor were behind the failure to sign Watford defender Craig Dawson, 30, who joined the Hammers on loan.

    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS

Real Madrid and Barcelona are ready to lock horns in a battle to get Bruno Fernandes out of  Old Trafford.

The Spanish giants are closely monitoring Fernandes’ situation despite the player having spent just eight months at Manchester United.

While Fernandes denies there are serious problems at the club, the midfielder was unhappy about being subbed at half-time in this month’s 6-1 loss against Spurs.

Stoke have completed the signing of goalkeeper Angus Gunn on a season-long loan from Southampton.

League Two side Southend have brought in Arsenal midfielder James Olayinka on loan until January.

Robinho has sensationally left Santos – less than a week after he re-signed for his boyhood club.

  • THE REAL DEAL

Man Utd have put Real Madrid’s Uruguay superstar Federico Valverde on their hit-list.

The midfield magician has pushed his way into the Spanish side’s team this season and started to justify his big reputation.

Valverde, 22, has been tipped for the top for years but is slowly proving his quality in LaLiga — and long-term admirers United are on red alert.

And with Paul Pogba openly admitting he likes the idea of a move to Real Madrid in the future, United are keeping an eye on Valverde in case a swap becomes possible.

Valverde has a £640MILLION buyout clause, which shows how much Real think of him.

It would be unusual for United to sign a player from a major European rival at his age but Pogba could be a very intriguing pawn in the game.

  • EDIN FOR THE TOP

Diego Forlan believes Edinson Cavani can become the 'new Zlatan Ibrahimovic' at the club.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Forlan said: “Edinson is still a great player. I've not seen any decline in him yet. I think he's a top signing for United, just like Zlatan was.

“He's that type of player. He'll lead by example, by how he trains and how he plays. He'll be a positive influence for the young players.

“He's a winner who has won lots of trophies, a goalscorer who has scored wherever he has been, he assists too.

“He's strong and his physique will be fine for English football. He's quick, he's highly motivated.”
