Hers is not so much an impersonation as an inhabitation. Nov 16, 2020 | Full Review… Rachel Cooke New Statesman Top Critic 10 episodes of television that may not be uniformly among the show's finest, but which are somehow its most authentic. Nov 13, 2020 | Full Review… Allison Shoemaker RogerEbert.com Top Critic This new set of episodes continues to give us both the long run and the short, the epic and the specific, as it goes from strength to strength. Nov 12, 2020 | Full Review… Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe Top Critic Best season yet. Nov 11, 2020 | Rating: 4/4 | Full Review… Verne Gay Newsday Top Critic The Crown observes that the royals' failures can more often than not be self-inflicted -- and in doing so, the show produces its most thrilling and biting season yet. Nov 11, 2020 | Full Review… Shirley Li The Atlantic Top Critic Corrin is startlingly good at capturing the princess' charismatic shimmer. Her Diana is silly and eager for attention... Yet this winsome young woman also exudes warmth, decency and fun. Nov 11, 2020 | Full Review… John Powers NPR Top Critic Perhaps the best and most riveting season of the series yet. Nov 16, 2020 | Rating: 5/5 | Full Review… Lauren Veneziani WBAL-TV This season has finally added the last, previously missing piece: a universally gripping narrative. Nov 16, 2020 | Full Review… Alci Rengifo Entertainment Voice The entrances of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher steal the show with tour-de-force performances, but the whole cast elevates their game in The Crown's most powerful season yet. Chris A 2h ago E-s-p-e-t-a-c-u-l-a-r Loure L 4h ago another delightful watch Metin T 5h ago Probably a more interesting series when it was covering events we were less familiar with. Now it is getting into recent territory, it was always going to be harder to deliver, and it is struggling for me to stay above "yawn". Dianna's nymph like entrance in the 1st episode is downright corny (embarrassing), Charles and Anne are again in this series the most believable. Anderson as Thatcher is a good portrayal, but she (Thatcher) was such an unlikeable character historically anyway. At this stage struggling to maintain interest. John L 10h ago I understand Britain loves to hide emotion, but come on- does this show have to be so cold and emotionless even on NETFLIX? A thorough exercise in gross privilege and detestable characters. While the Crown is informative, it struggles to hit the accelerator and deliver stunning blows and exciting moments. Rather, it illustrates what could be fascinating, and instead sort of meanders around the edges. Jackson M 12h ago Superb. Gillian Anderson gives a masterclass as Thatcher, putting Streep's histrionics to shame. Mary V 18h ago The Crown's best season yet! This will be a grandslam in awards. Maggie, HRM, and Diana have unique roles in modernizing the monarchy we see today. Gretta J 21h ago Gillian Anderson' performance is masterful. My respect for her is new, and unexpectedly deep. Will update after further screen time with Emmq Corrin. Jonathan O 22h ago Best one yet and the acting by everyone was amazing! Loved it! Cannot wait for Season 5!!!
