Jul 14, 2020 | Rating: 3/4 | Full Review… Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Top Critic While the show starts off strong and conjures up twisty cliffhanger endings, it falters in the end due to the convoluted plot. However, with only six episodes, The Capture is just gripping enough to binge in one sitting. Jul 14, 2020 | Rating: A- | Full Review… Saloni Gajjar AV Club Top Critic The series sucks the juice out of its pop-cultural reference points, failing to mine our current nightmares on its own terms. Jul 9, 2020 | Rating: 2/4 | Full Review… Chuck Bowen Slant Magazine Top Critic With strong performances and an unabashed willingness to state its points plainly, The Capture suggests solid possibilities for Peacock as a space for shows that are brainier than can thrive on broadcast TV but still retain broadcast's punch and verve. Jul 9, 2020 | Full Review… Daniel D'Addario Variety Top Critic This is the rare thriller that is not just smart and gripping, but also deeply engaged with our bizarre, often terrifying present. And it's easily the best original show you'll find on Peacock. Jul 16, 2020 | Full Review… Judy Berman TIME Magazine Top Critic The Capture will make you question everything you believe you know to be true, as it gives credence to fake news and media manipulation. Jul 14, 2020 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review… Carissa Pavlica TV Fanatic Offers a whiplash-inducing premiere that goes from, "This is a ridiculous investigation that appears to lack a crime" to "How is that possible?"... A somewhat dubious premise. Jul 9, 2020 | Full Review… Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette By turns enthralling and suspenseful, The Capture is the sort of show one could easily binge in an afternoon. Jul 6, 2020 | Full Review… Ani Bundel Ars Technica Holliday Grainger is great in her turn as a moody detective who is desperate for the truth. But for most people The Capture is the sort of thriller you will be happy to binge watch now and later happy to forget. Jul 2, 2020 | Full Review… Kayla Cobb Decider The Capture shows that such technological leaps of faith come with a downside. The production shows that with great technology comes great responsibility. Jul 17, 2020 | Full Review… Rick Bentley Tribune News Service This thoughtful but still thrilling series is a worthwhile watch that may leave you a little shaken, wanting to make sure your computer cameras are covered ... just in case. Jul 16, 2020 | Rating: 9.2/10 | Full Review… Allison Keene Paste Magazine The Capture isn't actually anything new, but what it is... is a very well well-crafted take on telling a compelling tale of a former military man condemned by footage of a crime committed on the streets of London. Now London is if The Platform swallowed 2 Yellow Somas. Marios P 4d ago Has the bodyguard type of feel...fortunately for the series Amazon prime picked it up with the lackluster views on Netflix which originally carried it but has had a second life thanks to prime...I Think it left a lot of unanswered questions but will it be enough for a second season????? Acting was very good and the anticipation was very high at times. Worth watching for sure. Bryan M 4d ago great thrilling TV series Eyar C 6d ago Sorry, it failed miserably because the male lead is nothing short of a log washed up on a beach. Manny P 6d ago Was ok until episode 5 when it went downhill for me. Very hard to follow. Did not like all the flashbacks of storytelling. Also, just too confusing and strange of a plot for me. rose s May 09, 2020 It would be ok in half of the time Le Due M Mar 31, 2020 Great storyline and acting Ademola I Mar 18, 2020 This show had me on the edge of my seat until the last episode. The last episode was so far-fetched. Just ridiculous. I know they want a season 2 but nothing was really wrapped up. Reminds me of the tv show, 15 Days, where I thought WTF is that it ?
