Netflix series Greenhouse Academy will not be returning for another series following the release of season 4 earlier this year.
Greenhouse Academy creator Giora Chamizer confirmed that Netflix has officially cancelled the show, admitting that the news "came as a shock" as they were expecting to film two more seasons later this year.
"I wish I had good news to tell you, but I really don't," Chamizer wrote on his Instagram Stories.

"I am sorry to tell you that Netflix has discontinued our show. The entire cast was so ready to shoot two more seasons this coming fall, so this came as a shock to all of us. We still don't really understand why such an inexpensive show, with so many fans, got terminated.
"I'd still like to thank Netflix for giving us a chance of a lifetime to bring our show to millions of fans all over the world," he added.
"I hope that we can someday find a way to shoot and air those final two seasons. You all deserve to see how our story really ends. In the meantime we send our love to all of you who fell in love with our little show."
The show's fourth season ended with the Greenhouse students foiling a plot to release a deadly virus, but it also delivered the twist that headmaster Louis Osmond's son Jason has been the mastermind behind a lot of the school's recent challenges, with the mysterious 'The Client' revealed as Jason's alter-ego.
The series, which was based on Israeli TV series The Greenhouse, follows Hayley (Ariel Mortman) and Alex Woods (Finn Roberts) as they enrol at a private boarding school for gifted future leaders.
Soon the siblings are drawn into a number of deadly plots, secret investigations and mysterious events as they also have to cope with relationship issues and friendship dilemmas.
Alongside Mortman and Roberts, the show also starred Dallas Hart, Cinthya Carmona, Danika Yarosh, Parker Stevenson and many more.
Greenhouse Academy seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix now.
