"I like them all for different reasons... I think they all require translations, they're all different sizes. On camera, certainly in Hollywood, is the land of being told repeatedly to do less. Voice-over and Animation is the land of being told to do "Whatever you want". The more you give the animator, the more the animator says "Thank you". The technical aspect of on camera work, and even stage work, no matter where they want you, that's where you are supposed to be. Now the difference between stage and television or film, traditionally, is you actually have time to do it, run it, add tech elements... The joke in television is the day that a series is canceled and you go looking for your parking space the next day and it already has another name on it. Everything happens fast, production happens at breakneck speed. The assumption is that you will be there ready, with lines on marking. Everything happens so fast that if your mind is not on full alert the whole time, it will run over you. It's a very pressured situation. If you're recording something on tape, audio wise, if it goes wrong, or somebody laughs, or something falls and makes some noise... it's all retrievable, there is a safety about it. On a TV or film set, you've got 500 people all waiting for you to get it right so they can move to the next location. That's a very pressured situation... Not that it's not fulfilling, but I love voicing, I love it."
