The male outfit's triumphant return includes their eighth top 5 entry on the World Albums chart.

SHINee's embracing of the Light has led the 10-year-old K-pop outfit to new chart heights.

The boy band's latest release, The Story Of Light EP.1: The 6th Mini Album, sees the group hitting No. 2 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart -- a new peak for the band on the chart that sees fewer K-pop acts -- and No. 4 on the World Albums ranking. The EP sold 2,000 copies in the week ending June 1, according to Nielsen Music. The release marks the band's first new music since original member Jonghyun died late last year.

Previously, SHINee peaked at No. 5 on Heatseekers with both their 2013 albums Dream Girl – The Misconceptions of You and Why So Serious? – The Misconceptions of Me. Over on World Albums, SHINee is one of the few K-pop acts with multiple No. 1s, as they have two chart-toppers with 2013's Why So Serious? and 2015's Odd.

EP.1 marks SHINee's eighth top five entry on World Albums, which ties them with their younger labelmates EXO for second-most top fives among all K-pop acts. Altogether, BTS holds the record with nine top five entries, while Girls' Generation, GOT7 and Red Velvet each have seven.

Over on the World Digital Song Sales chart, SHINee send their latest single "Good Evening" to No. 8 to mark their 15th top 10 entry. To date, "View" marks the band's best ranking, when it hit No. 2 in 2015.

To mark their 10 years in the K-pop industry, SHINee has announced plans to release three EPs throughout the summer with the next release, EP.2, set for release on June 11, and new tracks including the single "I Want You" and previously unveiled song "Chemistry." Get ready, K-pop fans, it looks like the charts are going to have a very SHINee summer.
