A 30-odd-year career has seen Ella release just as many albums. And through that time, she’s worked with some of the best local musicians and collaborated with a supremo global one. Does the name Slash ring a bell? This is Ella on record.
> Battle Of The Bands I (Ella & The Boys 1985) – When it all began for the rock queen elect, who was handpicked by the band that backed her in the glorious 1980s. The Boys, plying the same club circuit as Ella in the Klang Valley, spotted the fledgling singer and agreed to join forces.

> Puteri Kota (1989) – She earned her second platinum record with this follow-up.
> Identiti (1990) – It was three out of three for Ella with this album again going platinum.
> Mendung Tak Bererti Hujan (1991) – The rock queen broke into the Indonesian market with this album.
> Ella Mood (1991) – Malaysia’s first video album came by way of Ella.
> Unggul (1992) – This album marked her association with EMI Malaysia.

> Ella USA (1994) – Ella became the first Malaysian artiste to record an album entirely in the United States. This was the album that earned her the reputation of being the best-selling female artiste with over 350,000 units sold.
> Standing In The Eyes (1998) – The Commonwealth Games came to Malaysia, and Ella recorded the “soundtrack” to the global sporting event.
> El (1999) – Her dream comes true when former Guns N’ Roses guitar hero Slash plays on the track Bayangan, a coup for the local rock scene.

> Ratu Rock (2005) – Her aptly titled compilation sees three collaborative efforts: Dunia Batinku with Tam Spider, Perang Cinta with Farah AF and Kau Tiada Ganti with Waheeda.

> Greatest Hits (2009) – She records three new singles for this retrospective package namely Puisi Hamba, Jiwa Setia and Mencari.
