Jordan Peele, Sam Rockwell and Allison Janney took home honors, while 'Dunkirk' has picked up three technical wins so far.

Will the favorites prevail in the top Oscars categories on Sunday or is there an upset brewing?

The 90th Academy Awards ceremony is underway in Hollywood at the Dolby Theatre, with proceedings once again being emceed by late night host Jimmy Kimmel. 

In the major categories, Sam Rockwell took home an early best supporting actor win for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, while Allison Janney claimed a win for I,Tonya in the supporting actress category. 

For screenwriting, James Ivory claimed a win for Call Me By Your Name in the adapted screenplay category while Jordan Peele won for Get Out in the original screenplay category. 

Leading the overall field is Fox Searchlight's The Shape of Water with 13 nominations, followed by Warner Bros.' Dunkirk with 8 nominations and Fox Searchlight's Three Billboards with 7.
