Universal Pictures has pegged a May  10, 2019 release date for Legendary Entertainment's Detective Pikachubased on the popular Pokémon. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that 10 live action short films will advance in the voting process for the 90th Academy Awards.
