“Mindhunter,” a Netflix series being filmed in Pittsburgh, is looking for extras.

Nancy Mosser Casting will host an open call from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 16 at Blackbird Studios, 3583 Butler St., Lawrenceville.

People ages 18 and older who can play police officers, paramedics, firefighters, military personnel, SWAT officers, FBI agents and law enforcement recruits are especially needed. Most background extras will work one to three days.

Mosser Casting asks that you not attend if you already are on file with the company or are under 18 years of age. Those interested who cannot attend the open call and who aren't already on file with Mosser Casting can create a free profile on the company's database at mossercasting.com.

“Mindhunter” will begin filming next month and continue through December. The series will focus on two FBI agents who were pioneers in behavioral profiling during the 1970s.

The series is produced by Charlize Theron and David Fincher, and will star Pennsylvania native Jonathan Groff of “Glee” and Anna Torv, who starred in the TV series “Fringe.”
