Season 1, Episode 9 – APB is boosted this week by its dip into serialized storytelling, bringing storylines from past episodes back and setting up new surprising ones for future episodes.
Season 1, Episode 10 – With time running out, Eric and Rebecca must comply with Jadalla’s plans on an exchange in order to save John. With a bigger puppetmaster in play, a bigger conspiracy reveals itself as everyone comes together to take down Jadalla once and for all.
Season 1, Episode 6 – The action at home, not on the main mission of the week, was the only thing worthwhile in this otherwise very forgettable episode of Taken.
Season 2, Episode 8 – All hell has broken loose. Humans has unleashed all synths just to save one – Anita. Although Anita is certainly worth it, I can’t imagine how the synths’ new consciousness will affect the world.
Season 2, Episode 16 – Quantico brings an hour of TV this week that fires on all cylinders, mixing emotional character-driven moments with classic suspenseful action.
Season 1, Episodes 11-15 – Ingobernable wraps up its first season on a series of cliffhangers, opening the world of violence and corruption for a second season.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Dan and Chris travel back to 1919 Chicago to bet on the World Series in this week’s episode of Making History and it leads to them having a run in with Al Capone.
Season 1, Episodes 1-4 – Netflix’s newest series is based on the novel by Jay Asher – about a young girl who was there and then suddenly gone, through the eyes and ears of her classmate Clay Jensen. He’s a very important character in the 13 episode series and just one person of many trying to put the pieces together and find out why Hannah killed herself.
Season 7, Episode 16 – One of The Walking Dead sparks all-out war between the Alexandrian coalition and the Saviors. Rick is surprised by a heart-breaking betrayal and then inspired by an unexpected show of support. Negan has an army ready for battle and vows to kill Carl while Michonne fights through a deadly encounter all by herself.
Season 3, Episode 4 – American Crime provides a heartwrenching hour of television in its fourth episode, bringing surprising developments and some small forms of closure for its conflicted characters.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Big Little Lies’ finale answers the question we’ve been waiting all season for: who died, and who killed them? But the murder is still the least interesting part of this tense, thrilling and ultimately extremely satisfying finale which highlights, as usual, the strength of the women at its core.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Pete’s job at the Rachel Ray show is going great until he is contacted by a very unlikely person who threatens to derail his new career path. As it turns out, Leif is in the midst of his own marital woes, and they’re suddenly becoming Pete’s problem.
Season 2, Episode 7 – Axe is in damage control mode on Billions after his Sandicot investment falls through, while Chuck does a victory lap basking in the light his conviction of Boyd has shined on him even though he and Wendy’s relationship may be irreparably damaged. Axes’s struggle between being a human being or a ruthless capitalist takes a toll on those around him, but which will he choose?
Season 2, Episode 8 – The season finale of The Missing fills in the details of what exactly took place when “Alice” returned to the Webster family only to leave a gapping hole in their hearts after she was gone again. Can Baptiste find Getterick and save the girls before it’s too late?
Season 1, Episode 5 – Feud wastes the story of the 1963 Oscars—which began the real-life hatred between Bette and Joan—by ignoring motivation in favor of sequential melodrama. Yet even that can’t manage to generate tension or emotion in this patronizing and reductive rendition of a story that has so much factual dramatic potential.
Season 3, Episode 14 – We have a new visitor on The Last Man on Earth, but the writing staff bungles the storyline by making it all about Tandy. Also, Carol gets angry at Gail and Todd, and Melissa says nothing.
Season 1, Episode 8 – The Reddick in Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad returns to shake things up in this week’s episode of The-Good-Fight. Meanwhile, Maia’s family drama escalates.
Season 1, Episode 19 – MacGyver struggles to live up to previous expectations set by the show in “Compass.” With clunky storylines and character arcs, the show falls into old bad habits that hamper the potential of the episode.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Riverdale fires up the town rivalries in “Chapter Eight: The Outsiders.” With lots of juicy angst and a few more clues about the night of Jason’s death, the show continues to turn up the heat and the intrigue in this delightfully dark teen drama.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Back from hiatus, Powerless returns with its worst episode yet, the laughs few and far between and characters behaving inconsistently.
Season 1, Episode 6 –Sam bets the house on Sun Records when he takes his latest hit singer on the road. Col. Parker continues his losing streak and competes against his loan shark for a lucrative real-estate deal. Johnny Cash loses a good friend while Jerry Lee loses his mind after he marries Peggy.
Season 5, Episode 18 – On this week’s Arrow, Oliver disbands Team Arrow and calls on Anatoly to take out Prometheus once and for all. Dig resists Oliver’s decision and tries to get through to him. Meanwhile, Felicity continues to work with Helix.
Season 2, Episode 4 – On this week’s Underground, we come to find how Cato found his current station. Noah and Cato come to blows over the past and Elizabeth finds satisfaction in her activism, as well as the price paid for it.
Season 1, Episode 2 – The second installment of Shots Fired opened with deceased teen Jesse Carr’s father approaching Deputy James Beck as he arrives home. Gun in hand, Carr’s anger and heartbreak is more than understandable.
Season 4, Episode 19 – The Goldbergs proves yet again that the show still packs a humorous punchline in “A Night to Remember.” With several laugh-out-loud moments involving absurd character traits, the show continues to build strength in its humor as the season begins to wind down.
Season 2, Episode 10 – The Expanse‘s “Cascade” doesn’t just balance all the Belter, Earther, and Martian plots against each other but it manages to leave enough time and space for the characters to process all of the world-changing events that are happening to them even as those events march on around them.
Season 1, Episode 8 – “Chapter 8” confirms that Legion is a mess but its a pretty mess so at least it has that going for it. Overall, the series has muddled plot arcs and inconsistent characterization spending the majority of its energy on artistic visuals that ultimately feel hollow without any narrative substance behind them.
Season 4, Episode 8 – As one door closes, another opens on this week’s The 100. As things get dire in the lab on Becca’s island, Clarke and the group must question how far are they willing to go to survive. Meanwhile, Jaha may have actually found salvation through the form of an epiphany.
Season 2, Episode 10 – The Magicians returns with a fun time line shifting, drug induced shade visiting, overdue book tracking down, fairies waiting to steal babies tale. This show has the ability to be incredibly enjoyable to watch, and this episode hits all the right notes.
