The Seattle Center’s Rainier Room will open this weekend at night to help homeless people escape potentially freezing temperatures, the city of Seattle announced Friday.

The shelter, 305 Harrison St. next to Key Arena, will serve men and women Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., according to a Seattle news release. Referral forms are not required.

The shelter is accessible by several Metro Transit bus routes.

The city of Lynnwood announced this week homeless people can meet in one of two city locations for a ride to emergency shelter there when temperatures reach 33 degrees or below, as well.
