Great magazine, but app could be better
Like others have mentioned there are issues with the app not running in the background, the download will stop if you don't leave the app open. What's worse the download is huge, slow and sometimes they release updates that will make you re-download the issue. Also, managing bookmarks seems to have broken recently, deleted bookmarks come back so your list can get huge.
One recent improvement I did noticed, is the app is doing a better job of remembering where you left off. I restarted my iPad multiple times and days later I reopened the app and it loaded the current issue on the location I was automatically.
That being said, the magazine is great and I really enjoy the digital format. Being able to see more screenshots than the printed format allows, having the trailer or video interview embedded into the article is great. I won't go back to the print issues.
Enable page size adjustment
I love game informer and would go digital except for one thing. All the other magazines I read digitally allow you to enlarge a page as needed through pinching and releasing. For such a simple thing, which you can do when browsing the internet even, why does game informer not allow this? Please update to allow.
Needs fixing
This app works ok. Downloading the magazines is fine and reading them is also working well, but I am not able to leave the magazine I'm reading to read another. The shortcuts do not appear and the only way to leave the magazine you are currently reading is to delete the app and re download the app.
