NJ bill would allow military to defer property taxes during war deployment
The bipartisan bill would require a deployed military member, or a person acting on his or her behalf, to file an application for a deferment with the municipal tax collector and submit documentation qualifying the person for a delayed payment. The taxes would become due 90 days after the end of the deployment.
