Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have separated.

The former "Lizzie McGuire" star, 26,  and the retired NHL center, 33, made the announcement to E! News and People on Friday.

"Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation," Duff's rep said. "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."

The couple married in August 2010 and welcomed a son, Luca, in March 2012.

Duff's mother, Susan, told TMZ that they'd already decided on joint custody of their son, adding that, "They're better friends than a married couple."

Some celebs use Twitter to announce they're quitting, well, Twitter. Shia LaBeouf on the other hand, just used it to say he's quitting all public life.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston, has married Nick Gordon -- or so she says on Twitter.

Brown on Thursday tweeted a picture of her and Gordon's hands, showing what appear to be wedding bands. Brown's engagement diamond has been enhanced with two diamond-studded bands, while Gordon wears a simple bronze-colored band.

"@nickdgordon #HappilyMarried SO#Inlove if you didn't get it the first time that is.." she tweeted, decking out the message with emojis of a ring, a diamond, several thumbs-up, a heart and more. "Yerp!" reads a sticker in the picture.

The professional ballroom dancers had their son on Jan. 4, Sliwinksa told People magazine.
