Storm causes extensive damage in Gloucester, leaves thousands without power on Peninsula

A storm swept through Hampton Roads Saturday afternoon, leaving thousands without power and bringing down trees and power lines from Gloucester to Isle of Wight.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie held a news conference Thursday where he addressed the controversial George Washington Bridge closure. It was revealed earlier this week that a top aide and campaign manager conspired to close the bridge as apparent retaliation against a Democratic mayor.
