Ke$ha Debuts 'Die Young' Single: Listen

Electro-pop maven Ke$ha returns with her new single, the abandon-free "Die Young," which was released on Tuesday (Sept. 25) and previews sophomore album "Warrior," out Dec. 4 on RCA Records.

The new single sees the 25-year-old returning to the formula of her past hits: club-ready dance beats, a chorus that invites a sing-a-long, and plenty of sleaze. The lyric video released alongside the song splits its time between black-and-white shots from the Japanese underground and psychedelic text-laden imagery.

"I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drum / Oh what a shame that you came here with someone" she laments over a guitar riff that is eerily similar to Flo Rida's recent hit "Good Feeling." After a build-up and the final line of the chorus - "Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young" - the electronic breakdown kicks in, and Ke$ha is back in full "TiK ToK" mode.

Earlier this month, Ke$ha whetted the appetites of her fans by teasing the chorus of "Die Young" in a YouTube clip. The 29-second spot shows the singer on the subways of Tokyo, headphones on and belting out a few lines of the song -- much to the surprise of the passengers around her.

Longtime collaborator Benny Blanco ("Tik Tok", "Your Love Is My Drug") joins Cirkut and Dr. Luke in producing the party anthem, while Ke$ha and Nate Ruess of fun. round out the five-person writing staff.

"Warrior" will also feature contributions from Bonnie McKee, Iggy Pop, the Black Keys' Patrick Carney, the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, Ben Folds, Greg Kurstin, Ammo, Kojak, Max Martin, Billboard and Will.i.am. Dr. Luke executive-produced the 12-track album, which follows 2010 debut "Animal" and stopgap EP "Cannibal."
