Being able to see through someone's top is no longer an indication that you're at a trashy bowling party; in fact, sporting peekaboo lace is very fashionable these days. Both former "Hills" and "City" starlets have been wearing the delicate fabric up and down the red carpet, and we've definitely taken notice.

Kristin Cavallari recently went for the gusto in a revealing long-sleeved dress, while her old costar Lo Bosworth added just a touch of the style along her sleeves. Over in Manhattan, Olivia Palermo rocked a lace frock with ruffles along the trim and Whitney Port donned a chic and contemporary number at the VH1 Divas event.

Kristin Cavallari's been off the grid lately, but we assume it's because she's spending a lot of time with her Chicago Bears hunk, Jay Cutler. Lucky for us, last night the blonde bombshell finally rejoined the Hollywood grandeur and made an appearance at the premiere of Screen Gems' "Burlesque" at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Kristin looked radiant in an emerald green mini dress with rhinestone details, which she paired with nude Sergio Rossi pumps. Our favorite accessory, however, was her updo. Those loose, wavy tendrils equaled total elegance!

Spencer Pratt's wallet has been hurting lately (recent reports suggest that he and wife Heidi Montag owe millions in back taxes) so the guy's resorted to selling off one of his most prized possessions--his crystal collection. Judging by the measly price points, we have a hard time understanding how he could have spent $500,000 on healing rocks, but maybe the resale value is just low. And his former costars? Audrina Patridge was caught in a major fashion faux pas moment this week and Kristin Cavallari, whose been totally MIA from the Hollywood scene, gave back by writing letters to her pen pals in Kenya.

Elsewhere, Vinny Guadagnino celebrated his 23rd birthday (we did just about everything we could to get him to send us an invite, even planning him a pretend party, but still we had no luck). Now, one day older, he's off to Canada (we're guessing he might be linking up with Pauly D, who's been DJing there) and has already fallen in love with someone at the border! He should totally fill out a Missed Connection to try and find her. (We're always here to help, Vin!)

Here at Remote Control, we're constantly posting hot shots of MTV's former "Hills" stars all dolled up and radiating glamour at red carpet events, but today we thought we'd show you what they look like during their downtime. See these pics? They're some of our all-time favorites of the girls because this is exactly what we look like on a day off from work, waiting around at the airport or running errands on a weekend. It's comforting to know that us regular folk aren't the only ones willing to walk out in public without a good hair-brushing and nose-powdering.

And for the record, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt and Kristin Cavallari are stunning no matter what they wear. They're just more relatable without the gobs of mascara and designer dresses. (Can we get a shout-out for hoodies and leggings, please?)

We love everything about Fashion Week, especially the fact that so many of our beloved "Hills" girls are here in New York City for it. On Tuesday, Kristin Cavallari and Stephanie Pratt both attended LAVO's grand opening party and found themselves in an intense fashion face-off (OK, OK, we're the ones actually creating it). Kristin--who has been to a ton of events this week--wore a knee-length sheer dress with lace details while Stephanie sported a super-tight leather bustier and gray miniskirt.

Kristin Cavallari's heart might be in Chicago with her new man Jay Cutler--who reportedly flew to NYC yesterday for a lunch date with her--but right now, her eyes are glued to the stage at Lincoln Center. Over the weekend, the ex-"Hills" star attended Fashion Week shows and parties, scouring for spring 2011 trends and showing off some fabulous looks from her own closet. At the Zac Posen show on Saturday, she rocked a knee-length floral dress with built-in corset (pic on the left); on Sunday, she wore an asymmetrical Romona Keveza dress to the The Montblanc John Lennon Edition party (center); at the Catherine Malandrino presentation she went ultrasophisticated and wore a blouse and trousers by the designer (right).

After watching Vinny sleep with the enemy (Angelina) on last night's episode of "Jersey Shore," we wondered whether or not the kid had a soft spot for his hometown hottie all along (turns out we were alone on that--76% of you say no). The days of Kristin Cavallari's manhunt crusades seem to be over (well, for now). According to EOnline.com, the former "Hills" star is dating a studly football player by the name of Jay Cutler. Apparently, the Chicago Bears quarterback has had a crush on Kristin for a while and the two went on their first date in Chi-Town earlier this week. "They had a lot of fun," a source told the site. "Kristin wants to come back to Chicago more often during the season." Wonder if her ex-friends-with-benefits, Brody Jenner, is jealous?
