Uncle June’s back!

Beloved Sopranos curmudgeon Dominic Chianese has landed a multi-episode arc on Damages, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Chianese will play a shady associate of the Tobin family, the clan at the center of Patty’s new case. He’ll first appear in the sixth episode of the third season, which premieres Jan. 25.

Breaking: 'Friday Night Lights' (finally) gets an NBC premiere date

NBC has just unveiled its post-Olympics, Leno-free midseason schedule, and there’s good news for fans of Friday Night Lights who don’t have DirecTV. The drama’s fourth season — the one currently airing on DirecTV — will make its Peacock debut on Friday, April 30.

Breaking: CBS renews 'NCIS: LA' and 'Good Wife'

And now for some news that will shock no one: CBS has issued early season 2 renewals to its hit freshman dramas NCIS: LA and The Good Wife.

Anyone shocked? Didn’t think so.

In other (less obvious) pickup news, TNT has ordered a second season of the Ray Romano/Andre Braugher/Scott Bakula dramedy, Men of a Certain Age.

'24' catfight: Annie Wersching on Renee vs. Audrey

'House' scoop: Jesse Spencer on Jennifer Morrison's exit and possible return

After spending the last couple years on the sidelines, Jesse Spencer is back in the thick of things on House. In this season’s first four months alone Chase separated from his wife, murdered an African dictator, physically assaulted his boss, and took his sometimes-miserable old job back. And Jesse Spencer has been loving every minute of it. “Season 6 has been awesome,” he told me last night at Fox’s press tour party. “They’ve been writing some really good stuff for me. It’s been pretty dark, but really fun to play.”
