She’s still Jenny from the block! Jennifer Lopez was quick to check Alyssa Farah Griffin on this morning’s episode of The View after the co-host suggested she got matching tattoos with her husband Ben Affleck.

Lopez appeared at the Hot Topics table to promote her album and film This is Me… Now: A Love Story, which loosely documents the singer’s love life and reunion with Affleck.

With today’s episode originally airing one day after Valentine’s Day, Griffin couldn’t help but ask how Hollywood’s “it” couple celebrated.

“I understand Valentine’s Day is one of your favorite holidays and last year you and Ben got matching tattoos, which is adorable,” Griffin began, before Lopez jumped right in to stop her, saying, “No, we did not get matching!”

The actress continued, “I got one. I got one not for — did I get it for Valentine’s Day? I don’t even remember now. So much stuff happens, I forget what happens!”

Griffin walked back her previous statement, instead saying they got “compatible tattoos,” before asking what they did to celebrate this year.

(Editor’s Note: The View is currently on hiatus; contrary to what you may have heard, The View was not canceled today. This article was originally published on Jan. 15, 2024 when this episode first aired. The View will return with new episodes next week.)

“Did you get a piercing?” Sara Haines joked, to which Lopez replied, “No! It was such a big deal for me to even get a tattoo.” (Considering Affleck has a massive back tattoo, we think this proves opposites really do attract.)

While the Wedding Planner star has been busy promoting her new projects, she and Affleck were still able to carve out some quality time with each other, she said.

“We had the premiere the night before [Valentine’s Day] and then we kind of went away by ourselves and I had to leave to come to New York in the morning to come here,” she said. “But we got to spend some time together, which was nice.”

Lopez and Affleck first dated in the early 2000s before breaking up in 2004. While they went their separate ways for a number of years, they ultimately found their way back to one another when they rekindled their romance in 2021 and officially tied the knot in 2022.

“I just felt like people think, ‘Oh, this is a fairytale, this is the story of me and Ben.’ But it’s not,” Lopez said of her new movie. “It’s something very different than that. It’s more about the journey — like how did I get from here to there. And you know what? It wasn’t easy. It was very difficult at times.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
