On Sunday, May 12 the Top 3 were named at the end of fan-favorite “Disney Night.” The finalists competing for the Season 22 title are Jack Blocker, Abi Carter and Will Moseley. Eliminated one week before the grand finale were Triston Harper and Emmy Russell.

The revival of “American Idol” continues with its seventh season on ABC and 22nd overall. The Season 22 Top 24 were chosen from those who survived Hollywood Week. Each of these contestants had to sing in the Showstopper round to convince the three judges that they deserved a place in the “American Idol” Top 24.

In turn, each of these finalists performed for America’s vote from Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii. Grammy winner Tori Kelly and Grammy nominee Jelly Roll served as mentors. Additional mentors this season included Gene Simmons (“Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night”), Meghan Trainor (“Billboard #1 Hits Night”), Shania Twain (Top 10), Ciara (“Songs That Make Me Wanna Dance”), Kane Brown (“Disney Night”) and Jon Bon Jovi (“Grand Finale”).
