2023 is coming to an end, and Billboard reminisced on some of the top moments of the year with your help.
Fans worldwide took part in Billboard’s 2023 Fan-Voted Favorites polls, and the results arrived on Friday (Dec. 15). Coming in with 47.88% of the votes, Billie Eilish’s Barbie soundtrack hit “What Was I Made For?” won favorite movie song, beating out Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” and Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” from the same film, as well as Doja Cat’s “Vegas” from Elvis and Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Favorite documentary went to Louis Tomlinson’s All of Those Voices, while BTS won best chart achievement after becoming the first K-pop group to have multiple members top the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, thanks to Jimin’s “Like Crazy” and Jung Kook’s “Seven” with Latto.
BTS also won fiercest fan army in the K-pop category, beating ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, TWICE and EXO. In the hip-hop/R&B category, Nicki Minaj’s fans took the crown, beating out The Weeknd, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and Cardi B. In the pop category, Taylor Swift’s loyal Swifties won over Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Kim Petras. In country, Morgan Wallen reigned over Jelly Roll, Zach Bryan, Kane Brown and Lainey Wilson. Finally, in the Latin category, Shakira won over Karol G, Anitta, Bad Bunny and J Balvin.

These fan-voted contests were launched ahead of the Billboard Music Awards, but are distinct from those official awards, which are determined by Billboard‘s chart data. Fan voting therefore did not impact the Billboard Music Awards’ current record holders. Drake and Taylor Swift remain tied for the most career wins, with 39 Billboard Music Awards apiece to date.
