As Korean cinema was the big winner at the 2020 Academy Awards thanks to the historic sweep from Parasite and director Bong Joon Ho, naturally there was a little bit of K-pop included in the celebrations.
A.C.E was on hand to perform at the Oscar afterparty for Parasite at taking place at Soho House in Los Angeles. The Korean boy band performed several short sets throughout the night that included a wide-spanning range of K-pop including covers of BTS‘ Hot 100 hits “DNA” and “Fake Love,” some throwbacks by ’90s K-pop boy band H.O.T like “We Are the Future” and “Hope,” as well as their own songs including their single “Undercover” which was their most recent entry on Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart last summer. To date, A.C.E has sent two singles to World Digital Song Sales chart, one EP to World Albums and have peaked at No. 15 on the Social 50 chart so far.

While the Hollywood crowd wasn’t made up of your typical K-pop superfans, there were still plenty of onlookers recording the performance with their cell phones and watching the band’s intense choreography — a hallmark of A.C.E’s live shows as the group first honed their skills as street performers in Seoul.
Traditionally, the studios behind the nominated films will host a viewing and afterparty with Korean-entertainment conglomerate CJ Entertainment teaming up with Parasite‘s American distributor Neon for the event. The cast of Parasite came around 12:45 a.m. local time, Oscar statues in hand, and stayed to party for about an hour.
