‘Dynamite’ Is Blowing Up: BTS Makes Its Best Career Debut on Pop Songs Radio Airplay Chart

The song scores BTS its highest debut rank on Pop Songs and boasts the most plays in a first week on the chart for a track by the group.

Released at midnight ET on Friday, Aug. 21 (on BigHit Entertainment/Columbia Records), “Dynamite” starts on Pop Songs with 2,301 plays in its first three days. It surpasses the South Korean septet’s “Boy With Luv,” featuring Halsey, which began at No. 35 with 1,230 plays in its first chart frame in April 2019.

“Dynamite” is expected to debut on the all-genre airplay-, sales-and streaming-based Billboard Hot 100 chart dated Sept. 5, following its first full tracking week for all metrics. Highlights of the Sept. 5-dated Hot 100 are due to be announced Monday, Sept. 1. BTS has hit a No. 4 high on the Hot 100, set upon the debut of “On” in March.
